Write the Future: Using Tech for Storytelling

In this part-dialogue part-workshop, leading children’s and teen author Tristan Bancks is joined by game designer and educator Vince Siu to explore the intersection of multimedia technology, the creative process, and the changing nature of how we read and consume content. From Bancks’ myriad influences from filmmaking, acting and television work, to Siu’s use of interactive, immersive, narrativedriven learning experiences, they will discuss how writing and storytelling are being shaped by adjacent mediums such as music, film, games and – of course – generative AI.
