It’s hard not to feel a sense of despair when you think about the climate crisis, but does it really have to be that way? Jan Lee and Steve Willis, co-authors of Fairhaven: A Novel of Climate Optimism, don’t think so. In this bold and hopeful novel, they offer alternatives to apocalyptic visions of our future based around their lived experiences in innovation engineering, climate protection, and corporate sustainability. Based in Malaysia, the story presents a unique take on our common dilemma and what we can do to solve it, all wrapped up in an engrossing work of fiction. Join them for the hard launch of their novel, where they will discuss the role of storytelling in challenging and inspiring us to take action against the climate crisis with Victoria Gilbert, head of sustainability for TEDxTinHauWomen and director at Globescan.
