The 2025 HKILF, “Into the Future: Stories for Tomorrow,” embraced the evolving world of literature and its ability to inspire dialogue, foster creativity, and promote well-being in a world that is filled with devices, digital experiences and a rapidly evolving age of AI. The festival encouraged participants to join our in person events, engage in dialogue, meet authors, dive into new topics and ideas, or find creative outlets of expression through hands-on workshops and inspiring activities. A wide array of 67 events celebrated the power of storytelling with the 2,550 attendees. The festival hosted 71 speakers, including Booker Prize winner Bernadine Evaristo bringing her latest memoir Manifesto: On Never Giving Up, Waterstones Book of the Year winner Asako Yuzuki, author of Butter, and New York Times Bestseller Alka Joshi, who shared insights from her Jaipur Trilogy.
