The Young Readers Festival 2026 celebrated its 15th anniversary with an extended two-week schools programme, including events in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua. We were delighted to host a groundbreaking 16,717 students from 67 schools at 200 exciting and diverse events.
Our speaker lineup included Ben Clanton, author of the beloved Narwhal and Jelly series; the internationally acclaimed illustrator, Beatrice Alemagna; and the 2025 Kirkus Prize winner Thao Lam, author of Boat People. We also showcased brilliant local talents, featuring Linus Liu, creator of Cat Mask Boy, and Shana Cheung, winner of the prestigious Feng Zikai Chinese Children’s Picture Book Award, alongside many other amazing storytellers.
