Postponement of the 2020 Young Readers Festival

Following the onset of the novel coronavirus, the Board of the HKILF has decided to postpone the Young Reader’s Festival 2020, scheduled for early March, until further notice.
We successfully delivered our main Festival in November last year under challenging circumstances, and started our 20th anniversary year with a sell-out Off Festival event featuring the American author, David Sedaris. However, the coronavirus potentially threatens the safety of our authors, education partners, school students and employees and we have no alternative but to postpone.
Since the YRF’s inception nine years ago, our mission has been constant: to motivate and inspire young people to engage with all aspects of the written word. We plan to fulfil mission as soon as possible and will extend our warm invitation to you accordingly when we can once again gather freely to share our enjoyment of literature and writing.

鑑於新型冠狀病毒疫情持續，香港國際文學節董事會決議，原定於三月初舉行的青少年文學節將會延期，直至另行通告為止。
我們於去年十一月在充滿挑戰性的情況下成功舉辦了國際文學節，並以美國著名作家David Sedaris的賣座講座作為我們二十週年的開幕節目。然而，是次疫情可能會危及我們邀請的作家、教育機構夥伴、參與學生和工作人員，因此，我們在無計可施下惟有延期舉行是次文學節。
青少年文學節在九年前創立，我們的使命一直維持不變──鼓勵青少年多接觸文學的不同層面。我們計劃盡快履行這使命，並會適時誠意邀請您參加我們的活動，共享閱讀和寫作的樂趣。
