Tiffany Hambley is a writer and a teacher of yoga. She lives in Sydney, after spending many years based in Hong Kong. While living in Hong Kong, Tiffany trained to become a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. Prior to this, she taught Creative Writing at the University of Technology, Sydney and at the University of New South Wales. Tiffany holds a Master of Arts (Creative Writing) from UTS.
Tiffany is passionate about the power of words to transform our understanding. Yoga is also a transformational art. Yoga practice works with the body, and through the body, to transform our experience of what it is to be alive.
Kafka said that books should be “an axe for the frozen sea within,” and it is Tiffany’s belief that both yoga and writing have this quality. These are practices capable of unsticking our stuck parts, allowing for a fresh encounter with our place in the world.
