Welsh opera singer, author and Creative entrepreneur Mark Llewelyn Evans trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama & the National Opera Studio, London. For over 25 years Mark has worked alongside many major names in the entertainment industry including Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, David Blaine & Sir Bryn Terfel. Mark`s career has taken him throughout the world singing title roles in international opera houses, a blockbuster movie as well as singing ‘Bread of Heaven’ before The Six Nations Rugby tournament to a crowd of 75,000. Mark’s debut album ‘Let the Light in’ topped the UK classical charts, and his charity single, ‘Tell my Father’ performed with the Band of the Welsh Guards became a number one in the UK, benefitting the Welsh Guards Afghanistan Appeal.
In 2015 Mark decided to take his passion of opera further with ABC of Opera and reach out to the next generation. ABC of Opera delivers invaluable life-lessons to children through a lively exploration of the lives and music of the world’s greatest composers, building confidence, celebrating difference and encouraging creativity. Through joyful explorations of this powerful music and its creators, young learners of all abilities and background develop in so many positive ways.
