Biography
Judith Schalansky, born in Greifswald in 1980, studied art history and communication design. Her work, including the internationally successful bestseller Atlas of Remote Islands (2009) , the Bildungsroman Giraffe’s Neck (2011) and Inventory of Losses (2018) has been translated into more than 20 languages and has received numerous prizes. She lives as a designer and freelance writer in Berlin and is also the editor of the prestigious natural history list Naturkunden.
