Jonathan Fenby

Jonathan Fenby has published twenty books on subjects ranging from China to France and the Second World War. As a journalist, he held senior positions at the Economist, the Independent, the Guardian and Reuters before editing the Observer, and then the South China Morning Post from 1995 to 1999. He is currently chairman of the China team at research firm TS Lombard. Awarded the rank of Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for services to journalism, he is also a Knight of the French Legion of Honour and Order of Merit. Married with two children, he now lives in London but visits Asia frequently.
