Biography
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jennifer Wong is the author of two poetry books including Goldfish. Her pamphlet, Diary of a Miu Miu Salesgirl, will be published by Bitter Melon Poetry in September 2019. Her new collection, Letters Home, will be published by Nine Arches Press in 2020. She studied English at Oxford and has an MA in creative writing from the University of East Anglia and a PhD in creative writing from Oxford Brookes University. Her poems have appeared in World Literature Today, Oxford Poetry, The Rialto, Prairie Schooner, Magma, Stand, The North, Wildness, The Scores, Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Voice & Verse and others. She has also published translations in the Poetry Review, Modern Poetry in Translation and Pathlight. She received the Hong Kong Young Artist Award (Literary Arts) in 2014 and was a runner-up for the inaugural Bi’an Award in the UK. She has taught creative writing at City Lit in London, Oxford Brookes and Poetry School.
