Biography

Chessie Henry is the author of We Can Make a Life, a family memoir which was awarded the E.H. McCormick Prize for General Nonfiction at the 2019 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards. Her personal essays have been published on The Spinoff and The Wireless, and she has an MA in creative writing from the International Institute of Modern Letters. She lives in Christchurch, New Zealand, where she works as a content specialist for Brown Bread, an agency specialising in philanthropy and the arts.
