Biography
Harmony “Anne-Marie” Ilunga is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to Hong Kong in 2011 as a refugee. Facing discrimination as a model of color, she found Harmony HK a fashion company with the quintessential belief to spotlight local ethnic minority talents and challenge the lack of diversity in Hong Kong. Harmony currently studies a bachelor degree in Psychology, works as a freelance model and is the co-founder of Learning Together, an organization that runs an educational program for asylum seekers and refugees in Hong Kong aged 15 to 25. In February of 2019, She was awarded by The Loop Hong Kong the best of 30 under 30.
Harmony “Anne-Marie” Ilunga 出身於剛果,並在2011年以難民身分移居至香港。面對社會對有色人種的歧視,她創立了自家品牌’Harmony HK’,並期望透過此給予本港少數族裔人士發展所長的機會。此外,她也對於香港缺乏多元人才發展的現狀提出抗議。Harmony現正攻讀心理學學士學位,並同時擔任自由身模特兒。她也是’Learning Together’的聯合創辦人。該機構旨在為香港15至25歲的尋求庇護者和難民開辦教育課程。在2019年2月,她被香港雜誌《The Loop》評為30歲以下的三十大傑出人士。
