Ananth Krishnan

Ananth Krishnan is the China correspondent for The Hindu and the author of India’s China Challenge (2020). He was previously a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution India Center (2018-19). He was based in China for nine years, first as a reporter for The Hindu and subsequently as the Beijing-based Associate Editor for the India Today Group, reporting for its magazine and television channels. He has lived in Beijing since 2009, and his reporting has taken him to all but three of China’s 33 provinces and regions. His interests include India-China relations, China’s diplomacy, and ethnic minority issues in China.
