The Wall - John Lanchester

The Wall John Lanchester

Longlisted for the 2019 Man Booker Prize, UK author and journalist John Lanchester’s The Wall is a dystopian thriller. In a gripping tale filled with high stakes and terrifying consequences, Lanchester depicts a grim and all-too-realistic near-future Britain, torn apart by the rising seas, refugee crises and authoritarianism- issues already threatening to emerge and engulf our familiar world. Join Lanchester and Frederick Studeman, literary editor of the Financial Times to discuss the many possibilities for future dystopias if we continue to ignore present threats and signs of danger.
