Experience Matt Ottley performing a multi-modal reading of Parachute, an award-winning picture book authored by Danny Parker and illustrated by himself. Ottley will combine self-composed music for a string quintet with the rich illustrations and delightful narrative of Parachute and step you through the magical creation of the sound of picture books with live musicians. Audience members will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to interact with Matt. Participants will be encouraged to create drawings that will be interpreted by his musicians to generate music. This event will be hosted by Jennie Orchard.
