China Through the Lenses — Liu Heung Shing 從劉香成的鏡頭看中國

With the support of the Consulate General of the United States
Liu Heung Shing is a Chinese-American Pulitzer Prize winner, former Associated Press photojournalist and photographer. His most recent book, A Life in a Sea of Red, captures the political upheavals in communist China and the Soviet Union from 1976 to 2017. Depicting both historical turning points and the daily lives of people within them, Liu’s photography shows the collision between hope, hardship and change. For this session, Liu will be in conversation with Financial Times writer Ken Smith on China and discussing its journey transformation from revolution to modernization.
