HKILF 2026

Under the theme, “Inspiring Generations: 25 Years of the HKILF,” our 2026 festival hosted 67 inspiring events for readers across all age groups, drawing a record-breaking 2,695 attendees. In all, we welcomed a total of 66 speakers, including the award-winning Amitav Ghosh, who shared insights on his latest fiction Ghost-Eye; Hu Anyan, author of the memoir, I Deliver Parcels in Beijing, which was named “Book of the Year” by The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Economist, and the Financial Times; and Pulitzer Prize winner Hernan Diaz, who discussed his phenomenal, bestselling novel Trust.
