YRF 2027
ANNOUNCING YRF 2027!
We are very happy to be sharing our latest Young Readers Festival lineup
with students and educators across Hong Kong.
Why should you book a YRF school visit?
Each year, the Young Readers Festival (YRF) brings storytelling to life through a carefully curated programme of in-school talks and workshops with both local and international authors. Not only are these events vibrant and fun, but a UK National Literacy Trust survey found that pupils who had an author visit were twice as likely to read above the expected level for their age and were more likely to enjoy reading and writing. Our YRF schools programme motivates students to engage with the written word, promotes literacy and communication levels and nurtures a generation of outward-looking, globally engaged citizens. Working closely with established and budding kidlit stars, we provide authentic experiences that will complement the school curriculum and fit in with school schedules.
What to expect:

Complimentary YRF 2027 School Visits
Thanks to our generous 2026 festival supporters, we have four complimentary YRF 2027 school visits available for public and aided schools in Hong Kong. These will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Schools that receive a complimentary visit will be asked to fill in the school booking form and create a thank-you card to be sent to the supporter who funded the visit.
The Festival reserves the right to make final decisions regarding the awarding of complimentary events.
Further details will be sent upon successful registration. Please sign up here.
Books
This year, we are working with local bookstore Fun to Read who will provide YRF English books. Chinese titles will be available through SUP Retail. More details coming soon.
