Since 2001, HKILF has featured over 900 visiting and local authors in more than 1,000 literary events, including book talks, panel discussions and poetry readings.

Our Schools Programme brings Festival authors to primary and secondary schools across the city to promote a love of reading and writing as well as higher levels of literacy in Hong Kong. In 2017, we reached a record number of over 8,000 students and worked with 49 schools, half of which are aided schools.

With only a fraction of our operating budget covered by ticketing income, we rely on the generosity of our donors to make the Festival grow and flourish. Help us curate better events for Hong Kong’s literary scene and reach more students in need by making a donation today.

HKILF is a registered charity in Hong Kong (IRD File Number 91/6081). Donations exceeding HK$100 are tax-deductible.
