Leslie T. Chang is a Chinese-American journalist whose book Factory Girls: From Village to City in a Changing China (2008) was named a New York Times Notable Book and one of the best books of the year by many publications. Tranalations are forthcoming in various languages. Chang is a recipient of a PEN USA Literary Award for Research Nonfiction and the Asian American Literary Award For Nonfiction. She lived in China for a decade as a correspondent for the Wall Street Journal. She now lives in a small town in southwestern Colorado with her husband Peter Hessler.
