Jane Camens was a founding director of Hong Kong’s International Literary Festival from which she has gone on to establish the Asia-Pacific Writing Partnership, a university initiative that supports excellence in writing inside and outside the academe throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Jane lived in Hong Kong for almost 20 years working in journalism, public relations and teaching creative writing before returning to her native Australia. She holds a Masters in Fine Arts in Writing (Fiction) from Vermont College in the USA, and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, UK. Her short stories have been broadcast on the BBC World Service and published in Dimsum, City Voices: Hong Kong Writing in English, Concertina (UEA Creative Writing Anthology 2004) and Terra: A Bilingual Anthology in Bhasa Indonesian and English. She is working on a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Adelaide. |
