Christine Loh has a background in law, business and politics and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the independent, non-profit public policy think tank, Civic Exchange. Loh writes prolifically and, apart from academic publications and research paper on areas of public policy, she has written, co-edited and authored many books, including; Getting Heard: A Hong Kong Citizen’s Handbook (2002), Building Democracy: Creating Good Government for Hong Kong (2003), Being Here: Shaping a Preferred Future (2006) and Idling Engine – Hong Kong’s Environmental Policy In a Ten Year Stall 1997-2007 (2007). Loh has been widely recognized for her work and her accolades include; being named as one of “The Stars of Asia” by Business Week in 1998 and 2000, being names as “Woman of the Year” by Hong Kong Business (2006) and received an OBE in 2007. In 2009, Loh was recognized as a “Woman Who Makes a Difference” by RBS Coutts / Financial Times.
