Amanda Hayes graduated from Arts and Law at the University of Adelaide. She worked as a solicitor in Adelaide and Sydney and then as in-house counsel at an aviation company. She moved to Hong Kong seven years ago and welcomed a departure from the law to work at the Hong Kong International Literary Festival. Last year, after three happy years with the Festival, she left to spend more time with her three children.
